It is with sadness that we say goodbye to our National Coordinator, Theresa Forson. Many of you will have had the pleasure of speaking with her – whether Theresa was your first contact to ANAC if you were newly diagnosed, or whether you were renewing your membership or making a donation. You will undoubtedly agree that Theresa was incredibly helpful and listened with an empathetic ear. At the executive level, Theresa was a terrific asset to the Board of Directors and friend. We sincerely wish Theresa all the very best in her future endeavours.
The ANAC Board of Directors decided to restructure this position to that of a part-time Executive Director who will be responsible for the overall operations continuing to provide guidance and support to our members, while working with the Board of Directors to implement our strategic initiatives, financial management and fund development in order to sustain and grow ANAC.
I am delighted to introduce Carole Humphries as our new Executive Director. Carole has had a very robust career: all while in the non-profit sector, Carol has worked with some high profile organizations and low profile organizations, leading teams, facilitating committees and also working independently. She demonstrates a relentless passion to achieve her objective! ANAC has many objectives we hope to achieve and with a volunteer Board we have tons of great ideas and we look forward to Carole executing these ideas into actions!
Over the next few months, Carole will be transitioning and moving ANAC to the Toronto area. She can be reached starting the week of September 1/15 by email at [email protected] or by telephone 1-800-561-2622. Regular mail will still be received at the Buckhorn address until further notice.
Sincerely,
Lyna Newman
